Our Air Treatment - Your Safety

Bauer Kompressoren is recognised as an international leader in the field of breathing air compressors and purification systems. Properly processed air is an essential prerequisite for many processes. This Purification aims to reduce the undesirable gas components to a required minimum, and we precisely tailor your purification system needs.

For special requirements, we have a laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art measuring equipment. Contact us and find out how Bauer products can be optimally integrated in your production process.

AERO-GUARD for Removal of CO2 from Breathing Air, 100 - 630 l/min

AERO-GUARD

AERO-GUARD reduces the CO2 content of breathing air far beyond the limiting values of the DIN EN 12021.

Due to the constantly increasing CO2-concentration in the air (due to unfavorable environmental influences), operators from filling stations comes across most difficulties to observe the limiting values for CO2 in a reliable way. With AERO-GUARD the operator is always on the safe side.

Economic operation

For a FAD of 630 l/min the filter element has a lifetime of 50 operating hours. If FAD is lower, the lifetime of the filter cartridge increases accordingly!

Technical Data AERO-GUARD

Pure Air Supply Because of Bauer's Air Processing and Filter Systems

The P-Filter System

The quality of breathing air is largely based on the purification systems and the design of the compressor block. We have 60 years of high pressure experience and know-how - that pays off!

The Bauer P-Filter systems meet and exceed the following international air quality standards:

Germany DIN EN 12021 and PNEUROP 6611
United Kingdom BS 4275 (fire services), BS 4001, part 1.2 (diving)
France Plongées Profondes Offshore
USA CGA Grade D+E, Navy Standard Federal Spec. Grade A+B
Canada CSA

The P-Filter System

The filter system P41 or P61 are part of the standard delivery scope of supply on the VERTICUS models. The filters are carefully selected to match the units' rate of flow and to provide long filter life. Drying agents in the filter cartridge absorbs the residual humidity and water vapours.

Compressed air is treated in three stages:

A - DRYING by adsorption of water vapour particles
B - NEUTRALISATION by adsorption of oil vapour and disturbing odours
C - MICRO FILTERING by binding suspended particles

Bauer's purification cartridges have a filter capacity of 1000 Nm³ (P41) or 1600 Nm³ (P61) at 200 bar (capacity in terms of free air delivery measured at 1 bar absolute, + 20°C air temperature and + 30°C final separator temperature).

Pure Air, a Prerequisite for Safe Diving - TRIPLEX® Air Purification System

The TRIPLEX AIR Purification System

A safe and dependable filter technology, such as Bauer's TRIPLEX® filter system, protects the divers and fire fighters against inhaling noxious fumes and against the regulator freezing up.

Our mobile compressor range is equipped with the TRIPLEX filter system. The air quality conforms to DIN EN 12021 standard (former DIN 3188).

Untreated compressed air is channeled into the filter housing.
The compressed air is injected as to produce a rotating motion. Centrifugal force removes the residual air and oil particles by hurling them against the container wall. The condensate is collected in the container and is drained in regular intervals.
The molecular sieve removes water vapour from the compressed air.
The activated carbon filter removes residual oil and other contamination.
Micro filters retain even the tiniest solid contaminants.
Clean and dry air leaves the filter system.

SECCANT Regeneration Dryer - Safe and Low Maintenance Drying of Air and Gases

High Pressure Dryer SECCANT

Reasons for drying compressed air and gases

Compressed air and gases contain moisture and other contaminants that, if not removed from the air stream, may cause serious damage to the compressor system, tools and test pieces. Costly repairs and maintenance can result from accumulated corrosion, icing and dirt. The development of a failsafe, cost effective regeneration dryer for operating pressures of up to 350 bar / 5000 psig is an answer to the rising demand for dry and clean high pressure compressed air and gases.

To guarantee continuous operation, two high pressure desiccating chambers containing drying agent cartridges and is operated in alternate cycles; the incoming moist gas is dried in one chamber, while the other one is regenerated at the same time. The Bauer SECCANT automatically reverses the drying/regeneration process by diverting the compressed air to the regenerated second chamber before the first reaches saturated point.
